If reality is always present, unaffected by illusions and never truly overshadowed, how can it seem to be not known?

The answer is simple.

One is attached to the one fundamental confusion.
One likes the idea that the unreal is real, and one does not want to let go of this idea because one fears the loss of what he likes.
