What keeps me attached to ‘I’?
It is the idea that I am the mind.

If I thought I was the hair, I would never want to cut the hair.
But I don’t think I am the hair, even though there may be vanity regarding it.

Why is the attachment to thought so strong?;
Thought, which comes and goes and lives but an instant?

Can I look at this attachment long enough and with enough steadiness that it is seen through? Am I willing for this looking?
