#832a

July 1, 2016

One cannot truly “avoid the senses,” but one needs to remain clear about where genuine happiness lies if one wants to realize the true Self.

One who chases after sense pleasure forgets and ignores the Self, and therefore s/he will not realize it.

You can’t see it by looking away from it.

One who is dispassionate about sense pleasure while simultaneously falling in love with the Self is the one who continually looks in the direction of the Self. Because one is continually looking in the direction of the Self, the Self shall be found.
